Fort Myers man found not guilty in child molestation
A 26-year-old Fort Myers man was found not guilty Friday of molesting a teenage girl in 2006.
Quincy Hunter was charged in August 2006 of touching a girl inappropriately.
After the allegation was made against Hunter, he was beaten up by the girl's mother and uncle and a
neighbor called police, said his attorney, David Brener.
When Fort Myers police interviewed him, Hunter denied molesting the girl. Hunter's defense was that
the molestation never happened and the girl was pressured into reporting it.
"Fortunately for Mr. Hunter, the jury agreed," Brener said.
The jury deliberated about an hour before returning the not guilty verdict. Hunter faced up to 15 years
in prison.
